Job Summary
Volare Health is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our organization's database systems. The ideal candidate will ensure high performance, availability, integrity, and security of our databases while supporting business operations and strategic initiatives across our growing healthcare network.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain database systems (e.g., SQL Server) Monitor database performance and implement improvements as needed Manage database security, user access, and data integrity Perform regular backups and recovery procedures Develop and maintain documentation for database architecture and processes Collaborate with developers and IT staff to design and optimize database structures Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner Support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator Strong knowledge of SQL and database performance tuning Experience with backup/recovery strategies and disaster recovery planning Understanding of data security best practices Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Experience
Experience with cloud-based database environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) Knowledge of database automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.) Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle) Benefits
