About
Our Underground Mining products are growing quickly and our team does not have the capacity to learn the network requirements of the underground product. I need someone to learn this space, someone with strong enterprise network skills and a willingness to engage/apply that to a mining environment is the goal. I have a strong team of wireless engineers that can teach the outdoor/industrial requirements, but this person should have strong network analysis skillset.
Responsibilities:
Begin understanding our Underground Mining products and the network requirements to support them, how to troubleshoot customer networks if/when problems arise.
Daily interaction with other Site Comms (wireless network) engineers, as well as other Client engineers. Occasional travel to customer sites, so communication/interpersonal skills are very important
Daily would be at Mossville test tracks, but some travel to underground mine sites. Client will provide all PPE besides steel-toed boots which are partially reimbursable to Client.
Techinical Skills Required: Network support/troubleshooting Cisco route/switch Wireshark and network traffic analysis 8+ yrs network support, we focus on outdoor wireless but that can be learned Desired Skills:
Outdoor wireless (wifi)
Soft Skills Required:
Communication both oral and written (will be interacting with Client customers) so this is critical
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Electrical Engineering Degree preferred.
Disqualifiers:
This job tends to be attractive to cellular drive test engineers and this is not what they're looking for. This is more Enterprise networking/Wi-Fi experience.
