What you will do: • Build and maintain ingestion and transformation pipelines using Python, SQL, and orchestration tools • Implement schema enforcement, data quality checks, and operational monitoring • Support Actuarial data needs, including building or modifying datasets used for analysis and modeling • Participate in L1/L2 triage of platform issues, including job failures, data anomalies, and service reliability • ddress ad hoc engineering tickets, including enhancements, bug fixes, and tactical data requests • Collaborate with platform engineers, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate data delivery • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, test coverage, and documentation practices
Your background & requirements: • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL • Hands-on experience with tools such as Airflow, dbt, AWS EMR, Athena, and modern data formats (e.g., Parquet, Hudi) • Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines and production jobs • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and flexing across different priorities and domains • Excellent communication and documentation skills • Experience supporting actuarial, BI, or analytics teams is a strong plus • Healthcare data experience (claims, clinical, etc.) is a plus
