Key Responsibilities
As a Data Engineer, you will:
Architect, develop, and deploy advanced Big Data environments, including tools such as Kafka, Hadoop, and Dremio. Build, deploy, and monitor robust data processing pipelines using Python, Spark, and Flink. Collaborate with development teams on data modeling, ingestion, and capacity planning to optimize systems. Ensure data integrity and availability, providing expert consultation on data-related inquiries. Skills We Value
Experience:
5+ years in data engineering, with hands-on expertise in Kafka, Big Data backends, and application pipelines. Programming Skills:
Proficiency in Python, and SQL, along with Unix scripting. Big Data Tools:
Familiarity with Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Databricks, Hadoop, and other similar technologies. DevOps Proficiency:
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and monitoring tools like Prometheus/Grafana. Analytical Expertise:
Strong statistical and root-cause analysis skills.
Compensation
The base salary for this role ranges from $175,000 to $225,000 USD. Additional benefits include a discretionary bonus, paid leave, and insurance.
