Application Engineer is responsible for providing support for Regional Sales Management of all sales activities for EPAC pump products within a defined geographic region. This role will also have specific account responsibilities while partnering with an assigned Regional Sales Manager(s) to grow sales within assigned region(s).
Application Engineer will collaborate with sales management, distributors, and customer service functions to support EPAC business objectives and goals. It will be the responsibility of the Application Engineer to support field sales management as needed to meet or exceed sales targets. This includes, but is not limited to, daily interaction with distributor personnel, training them to become more self-sufficient with Ebara products, pricing and policies; mining and tracking of project opportunities through various stages; specification review; preparation of quotations, submittals, complex order entry, and after sales support.
Duties and Responsibilities

Promote and model a strong safety culture.Follow all safety procedures and proactivelyidentifypotential risks to ensure a safe workplace for yourself and others. Collaborate with Sales Leadership to execute annual business strategies that drive growth across the full EPAC product portfolio. Partner with distributors, reps, OEM customers, and Regional Sales Managers to strengthen relationships,identifyopportunities, and secure new business. Enter and managemoderatelycomplex pump and parts orders with accuracy, ensuring all technical and commercial details meet customer and internal requirements. Utilize ERP, CRM, and related business systems to document activities, track opportunities, and support data-driven decision-making. Work closely with Customer Service to ensuretimely,accurateresponses to customer inquiries and tomaintaina high standard of overall customer experience. Route standard pump and parts orders, delivery updates, returns, credits, and requests for marketing or trade show materials through Customer Service for efficient processing. Support internal teams by providing productexpertiseand contributing to improvements in customer experience, product offerings, and service processes. Follow established processes and actively recommend enhancements to systems, workflows, and policies as part of ongoing continuous improvement initiatives. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
One (1) - two (2) years' experience, inside technical sales or applications, in an industrial or wastewater pump company.
Four-year BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university or brings extensive real-world knowledge of industrial and wastewater pumping systems-gained through direct customer support, application troubleshooting, and system configuration-serving as a practical alternative to formal academic credentials.
Excellent communication skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Salesforce, Solid Works or other CAD system experience is a plus.
Working Conditions
This role is performed in a professional, temperature-controlled office environment with dedicated workstation space and standard office equipment such as a computer, phone, and headset. The position may require a flexible schedule beyond traditional business hours to support business needs and customer demands. The work can be fast-paced and repetitive at times, with frequent task switching and limited downtime between customer interactions or case management activities.
