02/12/2026 Hybrid role with 2 weeks per month onsite in Smithfield, RI Join our client's Data Solutions team as a Senior Data Engineer, where your expertise in Java Spring Batch ETL, AWS, and Snowflake will play a crucial role in supporting essential compensation data initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to scalable data solutions and enhance analytics capabilities, with direct visibility to executive leadership. You will work on a W2 basis with a potential for a multi-year contract. $65 to $72.50 Responsibilities: Collaborate with technology stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions. Design scalable technical solutions that align with business needs and the architecture roadmap. Implement test-driven development along with continuous integration and delivery, supporting our DevOps practices. Manage priorities effectively and deliver quality work in a dynamic environment. Stay current with evolving technologies and identify technical debt along with remediation strategies. Lead production rollout efforts for operational and analytical databases. Communicate effectively and collaborate across various teams. Experience Requirements: 10+ years of experience in data engineering or related domains. Strong SQL skills for data querying and validation, with expertise in optimization and performance tuning. Advanced SnowSQL experience and proficiency with Snowflake databases. Comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, including Batch and S3. 5+ years of experience developing ETL applications utilizing Java and Spring Batch. Experience with job scheduling tools, preferably Control-M. Proven data analysis abilities with strong data modeling experience in dimensional or Data Vault models. Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Maven, Jenkins, Git/Stash, Ansible, and Docker. Experience with Agile methodologies, including Kanban and Scrum. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong interpersonal skills and manage ambiguity. Nice to have: Experience in Python development. Nice to have: Knowledge of containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS Lambda development. Nice to have: Advanced expertise in Snowflake beyond core functionalities. Nice to have: Experience in the financial domain. Note:
ETL experience must be with Java Spring Batch; Informatica-only ETL experience is not applicable. Education Requirements: Bachelor's or master's degree in a technology-related field, such as Engineering or Computer Science. AWS-related certifications are a plus.
