We’re supporting our client, a global, leading marine manufacturing company based in Newtown, who are looking for a Design Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Design Engineer will have previous experience in product design or mechanical engineering.
Job Summary: As a Design Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring delivering innovative and manufacturable design solutions that meet customer, regulatory, and business requirements.
Responsibilities for Design Engineer:
* Design and develop new products and modify existing ones to meet customer and business requirements.
* Manage design projects from initial enquiry to production release, ensuring all milestones and quality standards are achieved.
* Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using CAD and Epicor systems.
* Design tooling and fixtures (press tools, injection moulds, jigs, and nests) to support efficient manufacturing.
* Ensure designs are cost-effective, manufacturable, and compliant with industry standards.
* Collaborate with production, quality, and operations teams to resolve technical issues...
