This leading Tier 1 contractor has an immediate requirement for a Design Manager to join the company to work on live project in Hampshire. The project is a large new build residential development which will have a mix of houses and flats and will run for 3yrs over various phases of building. Your working week as Design Manager will mainly consist of being based on site in the Southampton area and remote working. This is for a contractor who understands the benefits to individuals working from home and that will be available to you.
Key Responsibilities as Design Manager;
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of design across pre-construction and construction stages. - Lead design workshops and progress meetings with clients, consultants, and internal teams. - Review and manage design information for buildability, compliance, and value. - Drive collaboration between design and delivery teams to ensure seamless project execution. - Support bid and tender submissions with design-related input and value engineering solutions. - Monitor design programmes, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of information. - Ensure all design works comply with statutory regulations, project requirements, and company standards.
