Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing technical team within the Building Services sector.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for producing comprehensive mechanical design packages that enable efficient installation and reliable mechanical performance on project delivery. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with project and site teams to translate technical requirements into accurate, buildable mechanical designs.
Key Responsibilities
As the appointed Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:

Produce coordinated mechanical design drawings and detailed layouts for commercial mechanical systems, including plant, pipework, and plant room arrangements

Develop and maintain design documentation, specifications, and schedules suitable for construction use

Carry out mechanical calculations, equipment selection and sizing to ensure designs meet performance criteria

Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers and other disciplines to ensure fully coordinated design outcomes
