As a **Junior Building Sciences Technologist** , you will contribute to shaping safer, more resilient, and longer‑lasting buildings across Western Canada. You'll gain hands‑on exposure to building performance, restoration, capital planning, and investigative work-both in the office and in the field. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, curiosity, and the opportunity to explore different environments.
**Your Impact**
+ Contribute to building investigation reports, design documentation, and technical appendices alongside seasoned building science professionals.
+ Participate in building envelope reviews, restoration assessments, site investigations, and condition verifications.
+ Perform non‑invasive investigations that may involve ladders, heights, confined spaces, and detailed field measurements.
+ Visit active construction sites to document observations, verify compliance, and collect field test results.
+ Support our involvement with a wide variety of buildings across residential, commercial and education sectors.
+ Develop towards specification writing and CRCA and project management roles.
+ Conduct property condition assessments and prepare clear, detailed depreciation reports used by strata corporations, asset managers, and building owners.
+ Develop capital plans that support long‑term decision‑making and responsible investment for diverse client groups.
+ Enhance the team's knowledge systems by sharing insights, lessons learned, and best practices.
**The Skills That Set You Apart**
+ Post‑secondary education in Engineering Technology, Building Science, Architectural Science, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
+ Eligibility or registration with **ASTTBC** or **EGBC** .
+ Foundational knowledge of building materials, construction processes, building envelope systems, and mechanical/electrical components.
+ Ability to interpret drawings, collect field data, and synthesize findings into clear and concise reports.
+ Comfortable working in varied field environments and performing hands‑on investigative tasks.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
+ Experience in consulting engineering, building assessments, or restoration work is considered an asset.

**Compensation**
**AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT:** **$57,500 - $76,200**
**MB & ON:** **$52,500 - $72,300**
**NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC:** **$52,000 - $69,000**
