We are looking for a detail-oriented Material Coordinator to manage the counts, flow, availability, and accuracy of materials supporting production and shipping. This role is critical to keeping manufacturing running smoothly by ensuring materials are ordered, received, counted, and issued correctly.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track materials for production jobs and sales orders
- Ensure required materials are available at the right time to support production schedules
- Receive, verify, and organize incoming materials and components
- Perform and manage cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies and material shortages
- Issue materials to the production floor and support kitting as required
- Maintain accurate inventory data in the ERP system
- Communicate with purchasing, production, engineering, and shipping teams
- Support continuous improvement of material handling and inventory processes
Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Strong understanding of inventory control and material flow
- Experience performing cycle counts and inventory reconciliation
- Comfortable working with ERP/MRP systems (M1 experience is an asset)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Skills
- Strong excel or analytical skills preferred
- Basic understanding of BOMs, part numbers, and production jobs
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Forklift experience (or willingness to be trained) an asset
