Position Overview

The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all site security operations to ensure the safety and protection of the building, tenants, visitors, and staff. This role involves supervising security personnel, monitoring building systems, and ensuring compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and emergency procedures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and schedule security staff to ensure proper coverage at all times
  • Monitor daily security operations and address incidents promptly and effectively
  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the property to maintain a secure environment
  • Prepare and maintain incident reports, logs, and security documentation
  • Enforce building access control policies and respond to alarms or emergencies
  • Liaise with property management, law enforcement, and emergency services when required
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations
  • Provide guidance and coaching to security personnel to uphold professional standards
  • Participate in incident investigations and recommend preventive measures
  • Assist in developing and implementing site-specific security procedures and training programs


Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in security or law enforcement, including supervisory experience
  • Valid security license (as required by provincial regulations)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Proficient in incident reporting, access control systems, and surveillance monitoring
  • Flexible to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed
