Join a high-performing maintenance team within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment where your expertise will directly impact equipment reliability, uptime, and operational efficiency. This is an opportunity to work on large-scale industrial equipment, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and play a critical role in maintaining safe, productive operations.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Performing preventative, predictive, and emergency maintenance on heavy industrial equipment
- Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems including conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, pumps, and rotating equipment
- Installing, aligning, and commissioning new machinery and production equipment
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Conducting precision alignments, bearing replacements, and mechanical overhauls
- Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives to reduce downtime
- Collaborating with maintenance electricians, supervisors, and production teams
- Maintaining accurate maintenance documentation and work orders within CMMS
- Ensuring compliance with all health & safety regulations and company policies
Mandatory Requirements:
- Valid Ontario 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) License
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience working with large-scale industrial equipment
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
- Strong commitment to safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in steel, cement, mining, foundry, or similar heavy industry environments
- Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, laser alignment, etc.)
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Experience working within a unionized environment
- Familiarity with CMMS systems
Location: Halton, Ontario
Salary Range: $48/hr + overtime
