MasterHill Talent is partnering with a leading life insurer to hire an experienced actuary to support IFRS17 financial reporting and valuation oversight within a high-performing actuarial team.
This role offers strong visibility to senior leadership and the opportunity to drive reporting improvements, business insights, and strategic initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and enhance IFRS17 financial reporting processes
- Analyze and interpret EBS results, identifying areas for improvement and optimization
- Support quarterly valuation cycles and financial reporting deliverables
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and reporting efficiency projects
- Contribute to experience studies and other special actuarial projects
- Support regulatory filings and audit requests
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, risk, pricing, and senior stakeholders
- Present technical findings clearly to non-technical audiences
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline
- FSA / FCIA (or near completion preferred)
- 5+ years of actuarial experience in valuation or financial reporting
- Strong understanding of IFRS17 and financial reporting frameworks
- Experience with actuarial modelling tools (AXIS or similar preferred)
- Programming knowledge (Python, SQL, SAS, R, VBA) is an asset
- Strong analytical and communication skills
