MasterHill Talent is partnering with a leading life insurer to hire an experienced actuary to support IFRS17 financial reporting and valuation oversight within a high-performing actuarial team.

This role offers strong visibility to senior leadership and the opportunity to drive reporting improvements, business insights, and strategic initiatives across the organization.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead and enhance IFRS17 financial reporting processes
  • Analyze and interpret EBS results, identifying areas for improvement and optimization
  • Support quarterly valuation cycles and financial reporting deliverables
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and reporting efficiency projects
  • Contribute to experience studies and other special actuarial projects
  • Support regulatory filings and audit requests
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, risk, pricing, and senior stakeholders
  • Present technical findings clearly to non-technical audiences


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline
  • FSA / FCIA (or near completion preferred)
  • 5+ years of actuarial experience in valuation or financial reporting
  • Strong understanding of IFRS17 and financial reporting frameworks
  • Experience with actuarial modelling tools (AXIS or similar preferred)
  • Programming knowledge (Python, SQL, SAS, R, VBA) is an asset
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
