About
Reporting to the Inspection Supervisor, the position holder supports all activities of the Quality Control department.
Responsibilities- Perform in‑process or final inspections of products manufactured in the shop (machining, sheet metal, cutting, deburring, identification, etc.) using the required and conventional instruments;
- Complete all required documentation during inspection: process sheets, non‑conformity reports, minor defect reports, master file, etc.;
- Perform receiving inspections (raw materials, purchased parts, and subcontracted components);
- Perform First Article Inspections (F.A.I) before the start of production (first off);
- Provide technical and professional support to qualified production personnel (machinists, assemblers, deburrers) in the application or interpretation of quality standards and requirements;
- Perform “VIP” inspections (Vendor Inspection Program) when required by the customer.
Job Requirements
Required Education
- Vocational High School Diploma (DEP), College Diploma (DEC) in Aeronautical Construction, DEP in Machining, or any other relevant training combined with pertinent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience;
- Experience with dimensional equipment a strong asset (CMM);
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings;
- Use all dimensional equipment such as calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.;
- Write reports;
- Prioritize inspections required by production;
- Experience in the aerospace industry.
