Project Crew Lead

Mother & Son Lawn Care LLC – Worcester, MA
Full-Time (Primary Season) | Seasonal Employment Model

Mother & Son Lawn Care LLC is seeking a highly skilled, production-focused Project Crew Lead to oversee landscaping installation and enhancement projects during our active season.

This role is responsible for executing projects efficiently, maintaining quality standards, leading field operations, and ensuring jobs are completed on time and within scope.

This position focuses on project-based work including landscaping installations, property enhancements, junk removals, seasonal services, and specialty installations. When project volume allows, this role may assist with maintenance operations as needed.

We operate with a small, disciplined field team. Every leader must be accountable, efficient, and professional.

Compensation

$30 – $32 per hour
(Based on licensing, leadership ability, and installation experience.)

Performance-based bonus opportunities available.

Employment Structure

  • Full-time during active production season (approximately March through November, weather dependent).
  • If sufficient full-time work is not available, a seasonal layoff will occur in December .
  • Winter work (snow operations and limited services) is weather-dependent and not guaranteed.
  • Employees must be willing to participate in winter on-call operations to maintain priority consideration for spring rehire.

Spring rehire decisions are based on attendance reliability, production efficiency, work quality, professionalism, and winter availability/responsiveness.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead project crew on landscaping and installation jobs
  • Perform landscape installations including plantings, grading, bed preparation, soil work, and property improvements
  • Operate skid steer, mini excavator, or other licensed equipment as required
  • Oversee and perform junk removal projects including loading, sorting, and disposal coordination
  • Perform holiday lighting and seasonal décor installations for residential and commercial properties
  • Assist with pet waste removal services when scheduled within project routes
  • Stage materials and maintain organized job sites
  • Ensure projects are completed efficiently and within scope
  • Identify potential change orders and communicate with management
  • Maintain safety standards and OSHA compliance
  • Assist maintenance crew when project volume allows
  • Maintain professional client interaction and appearance

Required Qualifications (Mandatory)

  • Minimum 4 years professional landscaping or installation experience

  • Proven leadership experience on project-based jobs
  • Strong understanding of grading, drainage, and installation sequencing
  • Active DOT Medical Card (required)

  • Active Hydraulic/Hoisting License (required)

  • Minimum OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification (required)

  • Active driver’s license with clean driving record (required)

  • Ability to operate commercial landscaping and project equipment independently
  • Strong time management and job-completion mindset
  • Willingness to work within a structured seasonal layoff model
