As a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of mothers and their newborns. Your expertise will guide you in providing direct patient care from labor through delivery and postpartum, ensuring all aspects of maternal childcare are addressed with precision and empathy.

• Conduct thorough assessments and monitor the progress of labor
• Prepare for C-sections and inductions, ensuring proper documentation of nursing care
• Administer care during labor, post-delivery, and postpartum, including infant care and patient education
• Prepare delivery rooms and provide emotional support to patients and families
• Coordinate patient transfers and administer IV medications
• Adhere to principles of infection control and general OB department policies
• Maintain knowledge and interest in obstetrics and related equipment

Qualifications:

• RN graduate with current Colorado licensure
• Current CPR certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Certification and ACLS within one year of employment
• 4 years of experience in Obstetrics care preferred
• Proficient in labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursing care essentials
• Skilled in sterile technique and infection control
• Able to perform effectively in highly stressful situations
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with a diverse population
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift for long periods
