Position Overview
Rainbow USA Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our Construction Department. This role involves overseeing a diverse portfolio of retail construction projects, including new store openings, remodels, expansions, tenant fit-outs, and smaller repairs across the United States and Caribbean. Primary Responsibilities
- Provide regular project status updates to the Department Director.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to support project execution.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external stakeholders (e.g., landlords, contractors, architects, and vendors) to facilitate clear communication and resolve issues promptly.
- Review, modify, and approve work letter specifications, construction drawings, and related documents.
- Conduct or coordinate site surveys and HVAC assessments for potential and active projects.
- Plan and coordinate all phases of construction projects, including preparing bids, negotiating contracts with architects, contractors, vendors, and other service providers.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and progress to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to or under budget.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules aligned with established deadlines.
- Confer with supervisors, contractors, and other stakeholders to track progress, productivity, and compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Secure necessary building permits, licenses, and coordinate delivery of materials and equipment to job sites.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects while applying innovative and creative problem-solving in challenging situations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting practices for each project.
- Supervise projects remotely when required and adapt to evolving priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in retail or commercial construction project management.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
- Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Strong project management skills with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously while demonstrating creativity and innovation in problem-solving.
- Excellent analytical skills for evaluating site conditions, developing preliminary budgets, and creating store layouts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word required; Lotus Notes preferred) and other relevant project management tools.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing demands and priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Willingness and capability to travel as needed for site visits and project oversight.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected salary range for this salaried position is $85,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with skills, relevant experience, and market conditions.
