Project Superintendent

Job Description

KLA Contractors LLC is seeking a Project Superintendent in the Chambersburg area. The Project Superintendent will be responsible for managing project documentation, obtaining quotes from suppliers, developing relationships with customers and vendors as well as dealing with job site subcontractors. Both private and public work experience is a preferred. A background in general construction is required.

The Candidate must be willing to travel as necessary to projects. Local candidates preferred. Candidates local to PA are preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Interaction with Project Owner/Architect/Engineers
• Tracking of work performed
• Schedule updates
• Cost input
• Submittal preparation and submission
• Submittal tracking and verification
• O and M preparation
• Materials management and ordering
• Subcontract management
• Change order Identification and assistance
• Request for Information (RFI) development
• Estimation assistance

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read blueprints/plans

Flexibility to adapt to new challenges ,Strong problem solving skills, Attention to detail and follow through, Ability to meet deadlines, Desire for continuous improvement, Desire to take on additional responsibility for the good of the Team, Proficient with computers and mobile devices for electronic communication and documentation, Proficient in Microsoft Office concentrations in Excel, Proficient in Adobe Acrobat.

Work Environment:

• Work in various environments.
• Wearing appropriate PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, ear protection and respirators when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Education: Related field preferred or relevant experience.

Experience: Prior experience in construction management or similar industry preferred.

Our primary focus is new building construction with sitework and our projects primarily range from 250K to 4 million with room for growth.
