Retail Construction Project Manager
A Retail Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful completion of multiple projects within various locations throughout the country. Over the course of a project, the Project Manager will need to communicate with Owners/Owner’s Representatives, staff, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and building code officials, to make decisions while monitoring the progress of the project to keep it on schedule and on budget.
Responsibilities:

• Creating long-term and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
• Collaborating with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
• Negotiating contracts with external vendors and subcontractors to reach profitable agreements
• Determining resources needed (manpower, equipment, and materials) from project start to finish within budgetary limitations
• Coordinating and scheduling client vendors
• Communicating with executives to keep the project aligned with their goals
• Performing ongoing quality control throughout the duration of each project
• Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needed
• Maintaining project finances by invoicing timely, managing change orders, and reviewing/approving supplier invoices
• Preserving and creating client relationships

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of at least 5 years’ experience in the construction industry
• Superior blueprint reading skills
• Familiarity with construction management software (i.e. Procore)
• Experience supervising a team
• Deadline driven and detail-oriented
• Strong negotiation skills
• Experience with budget development and tracking
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel upon request
• Business development contacts a plus

Compensation & Benefits:

• Starting salary between $85k-$120k based on experience and knowledge
• No salary cap
