Position : Project Manager 1 (PM1) – Commercial Construction

Location:  Grand Rapids, MI

We are looking for a Project Manager 1 (PM1)  to join our collaborative team. This is an entry level, foundational role where you will work and learn, gaining hands-on experience in Project Management on small market projects with increasing responsibilities as determined by successful completion of projects.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Preconstruction:  Perform project buyout, project startup including baseline schedule, and subcontract negotiations.

• Project Support:  Managing submittal logs, RFI tracking, and document control via Procore in conjunction with the Project Assistant and Field Superintendent.

• Site Coordination:  Visit active job sites and Field Superintendents, ensuring project issues, quality and schedule are being managed and addressed.

• Safety & Standards:  Maintain a working knowledge of MIOSHA safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.

Qualifications :

• Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or relevant field experience.

• Experience:  1–3 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager (APM), or direct Field Experience.

• Skills:  Strong written communication, knowledge of Microsoft software including Excel and Project, and a "team-first" mentality are essential.
