Job Description
ShadeMonster Window Treatments is a growing company in a unique transition phase—beyond a startup, but not yet a large corporate organization. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager who can bring industry knowledge, leadership, and experience to help strengthen our project execution and internal processes.
This role is an opportunity to have real influence. Because we are a small, non-corporate team, the Senior Project Manager will play a key part in shaping how projects are managed, how installations are executed, and how teams collaborate. We welcome new ideas, improved workflows, and proven best practices, and we value someone who is confident sharing their expertise.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, taking ownership, mentoring others, and helping grow a company—not just managing projects, but helping define how the work gets done.
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee commercial window treatment projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role requires a hands-on leader who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable being on site to ensure successful window treatment installations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a positive, team-player mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Execution
- Manage multiple window treatment projects simultaneously, from award through final closeout
- Review contracts, scopes of work, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution
- Oversee budgets (profit/loss with accounting), schedules, lead times, and change orders
- Prepare and manage submittals, shop drawings, approvals, and closeout documentation
- Coordinate with general contractors, owners, designers, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle
Installation & Site Coordination:
Be on site the first day of installation to:
- Coordinate deliveries and installers
- Ensure materials are received, staged, and organized correctly
- Confirm site conditions are ready for install
- Verify installers are set up for success before work begins
- Serve as the main point of contact during installation
- Coordinate sequencing with other trades as needed
- Address field issues promptly and professionally
- Manage punch lists and final inspections
Organization & Quality Control
- Ensure all materials, hardware, and documentation are complete and accurate prior to installation
- Maintain clean, organized project files and jobsite documentation
- Confirm compliance with ADA requirements, fire codes, and project specifications
- Ensure final product meets quality standards and client expectations
Leadership & Teamwork
- Act as a mentor and resource to junior project managers or coordinators
- Work collaboratively with sales, operations, and field teams
- Demonstrate a team-player mentality—supporting others when needed and contributing to a positive work environment
- Represent the company professionally on job sites and in meetings
Professionalism & Client Relations
- Be nice, courteous, and respectful at all times with clients, installers, GCs, and coworkers
- Communicate clearly, calmly, and proactively—especially under pressure
- Build strong relationships through reliability, organization, and professionalism
- Handle challenges with a solutions-oriented attitude
Personal Attributes We Value:
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Calm, professional, and respectful under pressure
- Proactive problem solver
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Positive attitude with a true team-player mindset
