Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Mitigation Manager to lead and oversee all water mitigation projects from initial response through dry-out completion. This role is ideal for an experienced lead technician ready to take the next step into field management while remaining actively involved on job sites.
The Mitigation Manager is responsible for attending all water losses, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and professionally, and delivering an exceptional customer experience during emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary responder and field leader on all water mitigation losses
Perform on-site inspections and develop clear scopes of work for water, fire, and mold remediation
Lead mitigation crews in performing extraction, demolition, cleaning, and structural drying
Ensure all job sites are clean, organized, and professionally maintained throughout the project lifecycle
Manage and deploy drying equipment, including air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and specialty systems
Monitor drying progress through moisture mapping, daily readings, and documentation
Adjust equipment and drying plans to meet industry standards and timelines
Communicate clearly with homeowners, property managers, and insurance partners
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction during emergency service delivery
Coordinate with office staff on scheduling, documentation, and job updates
Ensure all work complies with IICRC standards and company safety protocols
Oversee proper use of PPE and safe handling of hazardous or contaminated materials
Participate in 24/7 on-call emergency response rotation as needed
Qualifications
Prior experience in water mitigation, emergency restoration, or disaster response required
Demonstrated ability to lead crews and manage active job sites
Strong knowledge of drying principles, moisture mapping, and equipment deployment
Experience scoping losses and communicating with customers and adjusters
IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT) preferred or willingness to obtain
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in fast-paced, high-urgency environments with extended hours when required
Physically capable of performing demolition and mitigation labor as needed
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
