Contract Details
- Work Mode: Mostly remote with occasional travel to Dover, DE
- Location: Dover, DE
- Schedule: 37 hours/week; 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM ET
About the Opportunity
This role leads enterprise-scale infrastructure initiatives for a public-sector organization, with a strong focus on implementing and maturing Kubernetes/container platforms and advancing hybrid cloud modernization. You will drive end-to-end project delivery, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure outcomes align with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and deliver large-scale IT infrastructure projects on schedule and within scope.
  • Lead implementation and rollout of Kubernetes/container platforms (e.g., OpenShift, EKS, AKS, GKE).
  • Coordinate hybrid cloud modernization efforts across on-prem and public cloud environments.
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, risks, and issues; establish mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment across infrastructure, security, operations, and application teams.
  • Oversee vendor/partner deliverables and ensure quality, compliance, and operational readiness.
  • Provide clear status reporting and executive-level communications.
  • Drive cutover planning, change management, and post-implementation stabilization.

Required Qualifications

  • 8 years of progressive IT project management leading enterprise initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Kubernetes/container platform implementations (OpenShift, EKS, AKS, or GKE).
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and infrastructure modernization.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, risk management, and vendor coordination skills.
  • Able to complete required background screening.

Work Environment

  • Collaborative setting interfacing with infrastructure, security, and application teams.
  • Daytime schedule; minimal to no travel.
