Supply Chain Project Manager

This hybrid role combines remote work with a few onsite days each week.

The Supply Chain Project Manager leads cross-functional supply chain initiatives that support safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations. This role partners closely with leadership, maintenance, engineering, procurement, and suppliers to plan and execute projects that ensure the timely availability of critical materials, services, and equipment for both planned and unplanned needs. Success in this role requires the ability to operate in a highly regulated environment while balancing cost, reliability, and operational risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead supply chain projects supporting capital projects, maintenance programs, and continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies aligned with operating schedules
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to forecast material and service requirements and align sourcing strategies accordingly
  • Coordinate procurement and supplier activities related to critical spare parts, OEM equipment, and specialized services
  • Support supplier sourcing initiatives, including RFP development, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract implementations
  • Track and manage supplier performance, lead times, and risk related to generation-critical materials and services
  • Identify opportunities to reduce the total cost of ownership while maintaining equipment reliability and compliance
  • Monitor project execution and provide clear, concise updates to leadership and supply chain management
  • Ensure compliance with supply chain policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to generation operations
  • Drive process improvements that enhance material availability, outage readiness, and supply chain resilience

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of Project Management experience, Bachelor’s degree or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with Process Improvement, OEM sourcing, MRO, and parts management
  • Project management certification (PMP, Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Experience with ERP or procurement systems (SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Ariba, or similar)
  • Understanding of regulatory, safety, and compliance requirements
  • Proven experience managing supply chain or operations projects
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with operations and technical stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint
