LOCATION: North Texas area
JOB SUMMARY
The Project Superintendent is responsible for the overall success of project execution. This includes the overall responsibility for estimating, budgeting, scheduling, contract compliance, safety, quality of work, project closeout, and owner satisfaction. He or she provides labor and equipment resources to adequately staff the project, monitors construction progress, sets strategic project goals, and closely monitors performance to assure the Owner’s goals are met. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with expertise in aggregate base placement, earth grading, pipe work, and asphalt paving. You’ll work closely with crews, foremen, and project managers to coordinate resources, drive schedules, and maintain strong relationships with state, county, and city transportation authorities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
· Manage and develop field supervision resources; directly oversee crews when needed.
· Lead by example to promote an injury-free workplace and coach team members on safety compliance.
· Plan, schedule, and coordinate work to meet or beat project deadlines, addressing any schedule risks promptly.
· Ensure quality, cost control, and adherence to specifications are maintained in alignment with company values.
· Collaborate with project managers and participate in:
· Project meetings with owners/clients
· Status reporting and cost/revenue projections
· Jobsite walk-throughs and hazard assessments

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in heavy civil construction; 5+ years preferred.
· Proven expertise in aggregate base placement, earth grading, pipe work, and asphalt paving.
· Experience with Oklahoma and Texas State, County, and City Transportation Authorities (DOT experience preferred).
· Strong understanding of civil construction plans, specifications, and standards.
· OSHA 10-Hour Safety Certification required; OSHA 30 preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple crews, coordinate equipment, and work collaboratively with other operational teams.
· Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
