Responsibilities for the Project Manager role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Serve the Florida Department of Health (DOH) and coordinate with the Department’s sister agency, the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) to secure funding in support of the application of Health Information Exchange (HIE) to public health use cases.
- Develop revenue projections based on anticipated AHCA CMS funding and the schedule of anticipated HIE public health and EHR initiatives.
- Perform outreach to HIE Participants by functioning as the point-of-contact with external organizations to coordinate engagements for the initiation patient data exchange and troubleshooting of existing connections.
- Facilitate the adoption of HIE to support public health use cases.
- Develop weekly and monthly Project Management reports detailing the accomplishments, issues and task progression of the project. Each Project Management report must outline the impacts of project performance to the resources of the division and agency and include projections of future performance that are appropriate for and Executive-level Project Manager.
- Organize and conduct meetings with project staff, management and stakeholders. Business stakeholders may be end-users of the Health Management System, Department staff involved in the processes automated by the software, or other Department staff who are consumers of the data collected within the software.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines on a weekly basis. Each project schedule must include activity sequencing, dependency identification, activity duration estimates and documentation of activities using the Microsoft Project or Microsoft Office application.

The Must-Haves: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below.
- Must currently reside in the US.
- Must currently reside, or be willing to relocate to, Tallahassee, FL (Relocation Assistance can be provided for this role).
- Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. (Or equivalent work experience)
- 5 years of experience managing projects for Florida Government Agencies requiring direct oversight of Florida Legislative bodies.
- Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute and in good standing.
- Two years of experience implementing Health Information Exchange (HIE) Public Health-specific use cases.
- Experience working with a Qualified Health Information Network and an understanding of the application of the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement to Public Health.
- 5 years of experience developing and maintaining detailed project plans (work breakdown structures).
- 5 years of experience leading project teams and effectively conducting projects to meet objectives.
- 5 years of experience delivering projects in the agreed schedule, to the correct technical specification (i.e. defined to meet user requirements) within the approved budget and other specified criteria.
