Engineering Project Manager / Land Development

Job Description

We are seeking an Engineering Project Manager with Experience in Land Development to lead land development projects from concept through to construction. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys managing complex projects, working directly with clients, and contributing to business growth.

You’ll work within a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) consulting engineering firm known for innovation, collaboration, and long-term career development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineers and technical staffManage multiple land development projects simultaneously, ensuring scope, budget, schedule, and quality goals are met
• Lead planning, zoning, and site plan approvals with local agencies
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and regulatory compliance
• Review technical designs and manage contract administration and change orders
• Support business development efforts, including proposals and client presentations

Qualifications

• 5+ years of land development project experience (10+ preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Active PE license in the State of Michigan
• Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills
• Solid understanding of zoning, permitting, utilities, infrastructure, and site development
