Job Description

Job Description

Avarga is hiring a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead building envelope and exterior restoration projects across the NYC metro area. This is a hands-on, ownership-driven role for a PM who shows up early, communicates constantly, and takes full responsibility for results.

You will be given clear authority, practical systems, and direct access to ownership so you can focus on running the work — not chasing information or cleaning up avoidable mistakes.

Compensation

  • Starting salary: $100,000/year, with a 90-day performance review and the opportunity for a compensation increase based on achievement of defined goals and performance metrics.

Benefits

  • Health Insurance
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Company vehicle or travel reimbursement (project-dependent)
  • Long-term growth opportunity within a field-focused construction team

What You’ll Own

  • Manage 7–10 active façade / exterior restoration projects simultaneously
    (Typical project size: $200K–$3M)
  • Full lifecycle ownership from preconstruction through closeout
  • Daily coordination of field operations, subcontractors, inspections, and safety
  • Lead all client and engineer meetings — you represent Avarga
  • Proactive, frequent client communication (updates, photos, risks, next steps)
  • Cost tracking, billing alignment, subcontractor invoices, and change orders
  • Problem-solving in occupied, logistically tight NYC buildings

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years managing façade, building envelope, or exterior restoration projects
  • Strong understanding of NYC building codes, DOB / FISP, and inspection workflows
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once without things slipping
  • Reliable morning presence in the office or on-site
  • Clear, proactive communicator — there is no such thing as too much communication
  • Comfortable directing subcontractors and holding them accountable

Tools & Systems (Preferred)

  • Sage, Bluebeam, CompanyCam, Google Drive, Slack
  • Procore experience is a plus, not required

⚠️ This Role Is NOT for You If:

  • You prefer remote work or flexible start times
  • You rely on subcontractors to handle client or engineer meetings
  • You communicate only when asked
  • You are used to managing only 1–2 projects at a time
  • Client satisfaction is not your strong suit — if client satisfaction is not a priority for you, do not apply
