About

Sr. Data Scientist, 3M, Maplewood, MN: Invent & dvlp data sci. technologies that create new opportunities or support existing 3M industrial adhesive & tape products. Use a variety of programming languages to quickly dvlp & optimize proof of concept algorithms for commercialization. Lead & collaborate w/research teams across enterprise to build capabilities & apps that use scientific, math, & computational skills. Master’s in Data Sci., Com. Sci., or Info Sci. req'd. Must have 1 yr of work or internship exp. or coursework or projects rel. to coursework in: (i) working w/deep learning, ML, NLP, data sci., comp. vision, & AI; (ii) supporting full life cycle app dvlpmnt w/in an agile framework, incl. requirements gathering, technical design, implementation, testing, documentation, & maintenance; (iii) working on preprocessing data, analyzing, model building, & deployment; & (iv) Python for data analysis & backend dvlpmnt. Exp. may be gained concurrently. Position may be eligible for telecommuting 1 day/wk from w/in commuting distance to Maplewood office. Pay: $97,032-$120,838/yr.
