We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Detroit, Michigan. This critical role involves overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing staff, and ensuring the efficient and safe flow of goods. You will be responsible for maintaining productivity, enforcing safety standards, and optimizing warehouse processes. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of logistics and inventory management. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Ensure efficient receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE usage.
- Train and mentor warehouse associates, fostering a culture of safety and performance.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular audits.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback.
- Resolve operational issues and conflicts promptly.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Manage tasks that require significant Lifting and ensure safe handling practices are followed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to enforce safety regulations and manage PPE protocols.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Physical capability to oversee and participate in warehouse activities, including tasks involving Lifting.
- Commitment to creating and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
