About
Our Omaha, Nebraska facility is looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that all deliveries are accurately received, inspected, and recorded. Your meticulous nature will be key to maintaining inventory integrity and preventing discrepancies. You will work closely with suppliers and internal departments to streamline the receiving process. A strong commitment to workplace safety is essential, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all handling procedures. This position may involve some moderate Lifting and requires the ability to stand for extended periods. We are dedicated to creating a secure and efficient operational environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label received goods appropriately.
- Organize and stage incoming inventory for put-away.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Perform tasks that may require some Lifting of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a similar logistics role.
- Familiarity with inventory management software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents.
- Physical ability to handle materials, including occasional Lifting.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic.
