About
We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our Baltimore, Maryland facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise in the warehouse. This role is essential to our daily logistics operations, ensuring the smooth movement of goods and timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, and a keen eye for detail. You will operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks in the performance of duties such as loading and unloading trucks, moving materials between storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper stacking and securing of goods.
- Transport materials between various areas of the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Inspect equipment before and after use, reporting any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to Safety standards.
- Follow all company Safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- This role may involve occasional Lifting of smaller items.
- Proficiency in warehouse Logistics is crucial for efficient operations.
- Prioritize Safety above all else in equipment operation and warehouse movement.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to read and understand product labels and shipping documents.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including occasional Lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must follow all Safety guidelines, including the use of PPE.
- Familiarity with Logistics operations and warehouse flow.
