Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Accurately pick and stage materials for outgoing shipments.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and record-keeping.
- Identify and report any damaged or defective materials.
- Follow all instructions related to lifting and material handling to prevent injuries.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is a plus. Familiarity with operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is advantageous. Must be able to perform heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs) and stand/walk for extended periods. Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices. A proactive approach to work and the ability to follow directions are essential. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient logistics flow within our facility.
