We are looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and move materials to and from storage areas, production areas, or loading docks.
- Sort and organize materials for efficient storage and retrieval.
- Load and unload trucks and containers manually or using equipment.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Perform regular checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, following all safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including counting and labeling stock.
- Follow all established safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform demanding physical tasks, including frequent heavy lifting.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Understanding and adherence to safety regulations.
- Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to work in varying temperature conditions and wear appropriate PPE.
