Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, and ensure all team members are properly trained.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as transportation and customer service, to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all PPE requirements.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on operational results.
- Address any issues or concerns that arise within the warehouse promptly and effectively.
- Commitment to heavy lifting tasks as needed, adhering to proper lifting techniques.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of safety regulations and experience implementing PPE.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience with lifting and moving heavy items.
