About
Join our growing logistics team in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as a Material Handler! We are looking for a hardworking and safety-conscious individual to manage the flow of materials within our warehouse. This role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring materials are moved, stored, and prepared for shipment accurately and efficiently. You will be an integral part of our supply chain, supporting the movement of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and accurately record incoming materials.
- Move materials using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment.
- Sort, organize, and stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and participate in cycle counting.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Perform tasks involving manual Lifting of materials, up to 50 pounds.
- Operate various warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support overall logistics operations and team objectives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting and bending.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Familiarity with basic logistics operations is a plus.
- Willingness to wear all required PPE.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Open to working flexible shifts as required.
