Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of incoming shipments, ensuring that all goods are received, inspected, and documented according to company procedures. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations, as it forms the first step in managing our inventory. You will work closely with suppliers, freight carriers, and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise during the receiving process. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management systems is beneficial.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
  • Inspect goods for damage, shortages, and discrepancies against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
  • Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Tag and label inventory appropriately.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to resolve receiving issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Assist with inventory counts and reconciliations as needed.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a related logistics role preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with WMS or ERP systems.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting, often exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all guidelines.
