Are you detail-oriented and organized? We have an excellent opportunity for a Receiving Clerk in Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the receiving process. Your responsibilities will include unloading shipments, inspecting goods for damage, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and accurately entering data into our inventory system. This position is vital to our **logistics** chain, ensuring that our warehouse is always stocked with the correct items. A strong emphasis is placed on **safety**, and adherence to proper procedures, including the correct use of **PPE**, is mandatory. This role requires someone who can handle **Lifting** up to 50 lbs and work diligently in a dynamic warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately.
- Inspect goods for damage and verify quantities against shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Document all discrepancies and report them to the supervisor.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system promptly and accurately.
- Stage received goods for put-away by other warehouse personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and **safe** receiving area.
- Adhere to all company **safety** policies and **PPE** requirements.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Understand and follow warehouse **logistics** protocols.
- Perform **Lifting** of boxes and freight as necessary, up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including **Lifting** up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse **safety** procedures and the importance of **PPE**.
- Familiarity with **logistics** operations is a plus.
