We are hiring an Order Picker for our warehouse located in Boise, Idaho. This role is essential for our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for retrieving specified items from warehouse shelves based on pick lists or scanning devices. Accuracy in selecting the correct products and quantities is paramount to customer satisfaction. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, requiring you to be on your feet throughout your shift and capable of performing moderate lifting. A strong understanding of warehouse layout and inventory management is beneficial. Safety is a top priority; therefore, all Order Pickers must adhere to strict safety protocols and utilize the appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to customer orders.
- Utilize pick lists or handheld scanners to identify and locate items.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing station or designated staging area.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization as needed.
- Follow all warehouse safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Meet established productivity standards for order picking.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or equipment to supervisors.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics and fulfillment process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and item labels.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Capacity for moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Awareness of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
