About
We are looking for a reliable Material Handler to join our warehouse team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement of materials throughout the facility, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of goods. This position is critical to our **logistics** operations, supporting receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment processes. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a **safety**-conscious workplace, utilizing all required **PPE**.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move raw materials, finished goods, and supplies to designated storage areas.
- Assist with receiving and inspecting incoming inventory.
- Support order picking and packing processes by staging materials.
- Maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment.
- Adhere strictly to all **safety** regulations and company policies, including the use of **PPE**.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as assigned.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse role is required.
- Certification or experience operating forklifts is highly desirable.
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to handle frequent **Lifting** of up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse **logistics** and material flow.
- Knowledge of **PPE** requirements and commitment to workplace **safety**.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
