We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy distribution center in Boston, Massachusetts. In this critical role, you will ensure the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse, contributing to the seamless flow of our logistics operations. Your expertise in operating various forklift models and your commitment to Safety will be essential. This position requires precision, reliability, and a strong understanding of warehouse protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate sit-down, stand-up, and reach forklifts to move, load, and unload materials.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas and production lines.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counting.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, free from hazards.
- Must be comfortable with regular Lifting of items up to 60 lbs.
- Support overall logistics efficiency and team objectives.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Proficiency in operating multiple types of forklifts.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of Safety.
- Physical capability to perform demanding tasks, including significant Lifting.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
