About
Our expanding logistics operations in Kansas City, Missouri, are seeking an experienced Material Handler. This role is critical for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for handling, organizing, and tracking materials to support our production and shipping needs. We are looking for individuals with a strong understanding of material handling equipment and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and process incoming materials.
- Stage and move materials to appropriate storage locations or production lines.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment and report any issues for maintenance.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure all areas are kept clean and organized, adhering to safety standards.
- Strictly follow all safety guidelines and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, which involves considerable lifting.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed to ensure smooth logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in material handling, warehousing, or logistics.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other relevant equipment; certification preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular lifting of up to 50 lbs and prolonged standing.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices for material handling.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- A dedication to safety and teamwork.
