We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team in Richmond, Virginia. As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are essential to the efficient operation of our distribution center. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. You will be involved in receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping operations. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and report any discrepancies.
- Stock and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation and accessibility.
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using order sheets or scanning equipment.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Load and unload trucks, pallets, and other materials.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse, including sweeping, tidying aisles, and disposing of waste.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety regulations.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus, but not required; we provide comprehensive training.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the ability to follow instructions.
