About
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing all goods. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying packing slips against received items, inspecting for damage, and accurately entering data into our warehouse management system (WMS). Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential for success in this position. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring that our operations run smoothly from the moment goods arrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately input receiving data into the warehouse management system.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as stocking or cycle counting.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any receiving-related issues.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse or receiving environment. Understanding of basic inventory principles is a plus. This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and standing for extended periods.
