About
Columbus, Ohio is seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our warehouse team! In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility. This includes operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to load, unload, and transport goods. As a Material Handler, you are integral to our Logistics operations, ensuring that inventory is accurately stored and readily available for order fulfillment. Your duties will involve receiving goods, stocking shelves, preparing items for shipment, and maintaining an organized warehouse environment. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a proven track record of safe equipment operation. This position requires physical capability, including considerable Lifting and the ability to remain on your feet for long durations. A primary focus of this role is upholding rigorous Safety standards, including mandatory use of PPE and strict adherence to all safety protocols. We are looking for reliable individuals with excellent organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy. Forklift certification is strongly preferred. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stock and organize inventory accurately.
- Assist with shipping and receiving documentation.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
