Why not come X us?The School of Engineering of the HES-SO Valais-Wallis is seeking a:Scientific in Machine Learning (%)This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic research environment in the heart of the Swiss Alps. You will conduct research in machine learning and artificial intelligence, with a primary focus on fine-tuning large language models for spear phishing detection and distilling fast predictors from X . This project is carried out in close with a major IT partner in Switzerland. The position may also include teaching Responsibilities:Conduct research and development in machine learning, with a focus on large language models (fine-tuning, in regular project meetings and contribute to the academic School of with faculty and other researchers on research and projects.Contribute to teaching activities, including tutoring and Master s degree or higher in computer science, machine learning, or a field. A PhD degree is a strong experience in machine learning. Experience in deep learning and fine-tuning large language models is a strong asset.Excellent programming skills in Python and experience with programming. Good knowledge of PyTorch and/or JAX is a strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective skills and the ability to work both and independently.Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level in both written and spoken is required.
