About
Our Boston, Massachusetts distribution center is seeking an Order Picker to join our dedicated logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your precision and efficiency are crucial to maintaining our high standards of service. You'll work in a dynamic warehouse environment, utilizing scanning technology and adhering to strict safety protocols. This position is fundamental to our daily operations, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of goods, and contributing to the overall success of our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse inventory according to order specifications.
- Utilize hand-held scanners and other technology to manage inventory and pick lists.
- Verify picked items to ensure order accuracy before staging.
- Stage picked orders in designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
- Participate in regular inventory cycle counts.
- Follow safe lifting techniques and material handling procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient order fulfillment within the logistics department.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred. Ability to read and interpret order documents or digital pick lists. Must be capable of performing physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 45 lbs) throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Reliability and punctuality are essential. Understanding of warehouse safety procedures is required.
