Join our busy logistics hub in San Antonio, Texas, as a Forklift Operator! We are seeking experienced and safety-minded individuals to contribute to the efficient operation of our distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely moving, staging, loading, and unloading materials and products. Your role is essential to maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring timely order fulfillment. We emphasize a safe work environment, providing all necessary training and promoting the correct use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up) safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers accurately and in a timely manner.
- Move products to and from storage locations, production areas, and shipping docks.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, free from obstructions.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and at least one year of forklift operation experience.
- Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts safely in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and wearing designated PPE.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to operational needs.
