We are expanding our team in Atlanta, Georgia, and seeking dedicated Picker/Packers to enhance our logistics operations. This role is central to our order fulfillment process, requiring individuals who are meticulous, efficient, and committed to accuracy. You will be responsible for retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders and carefully packaging them for shipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, the ability to work quickly and accurately, and a deep understanding of safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the correct use of PPE. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a key part in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering accurate and timely orders. Join our Atlanta team and contribute to our success in the logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations using RF scanners and order sheets.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Package products securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate shipping materials.
- Verify order details and product quantities before sealing packages.
- Label packages correctly for shipment according to carrier guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation and contribute to the overall warehouse tidiness.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, especially regarding lifting and material handling.
- Consistently wear and properly use required PPE.
- Meet daily productivity targets for picking and packing.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any issues.
- Handle tasks that involve frequent lifting and movement of goods.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking and packing or a related warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and RF scanner data.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Understanding of safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and perform frequent lifting throughout the shift.
- Experience with safe lifting practices is essential.
- Basic knowledge of logistics and inventory processes.
